San Antonio, Texas — According to state and local development sources, Texas Biomedical Research Institute plans to invest $65,000,000.00 to build out 29,437 square feet of new space in San Antonio. The company plans to occupy the new space at 8715 W. Military Dr. in San Antonio, on or about June 1, 2028. Texas Biomed, formerly the Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research, partners with hundreds of researchers and institutions around the world, targeting advances in the fight against cardiovascular disease, psychiatric disorders, Tuberculosis, AIDS, hepatitis, malaria, parasitic infections, Ebolavirus, Marburg virus and a host of other infectious diseases. The Institute is located on a 200-acre campus on the northwest side of San Antonio, Texas.
