Wichita County to spend $750,000.00 to occupy 10,026 square feet of space in Wichita Falls Texas.
Wichita Falls, Texas — According to state and local development sources, Wichita County plans to invest $750,000.00 to build out 10,026 square feet of new space in Wichita Falls. The company plans to occupy the new space at 915 9th Street in Wichita Falls, on or about April 1, 2027. According to the company website Wichita County, Texas, was established in 1858 and named for the indigenous Wichita tribes. Located in North Texas along the Red River, its growth exploded after 1882 with the arrival of the Fort Worth and Denver Railroad, which transformed the region into a major cattle-ranching and agricultural hub. The Texas Constitution vests broad judicial and administrative powers in the position of county judge, who presides over a five-member commissioners court, which has budgetary and administrative authority over county government operations. The county judge handles such widely varying matters as hearings for beer and wine license applications, hearing on admittance to state hospitals for the mentally ill and mentally retarded and temporary guardianships for special purposes.
