Synthetic has raised $10 Million in new Funding
According to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Synthetic has raised $10 Million in new Angel/Seed funding. The federal securities law requires the notice to be filed by companies that have sold securities without registration under the Securities Act of 1933 in an offering made under Rule 504 or 506 of Regulation D or Section 4(a)(5) of the Securities Act. A company must file this notice within 15 days after the first sale of securities in the offering. For this purpose, the date of first sale is the date on which the first investor is irrevocably contractually committed to invest. Each issuer of securities that sells its securities in reliance on an exemption provided in Regulation D or Section 4(a)(5) of the Securities Act of 1933 must file this notice containing the information requested with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and with the state(s) requiring it. If more than one issuer has sold its securities in the same transaction, all issuers should be identified in this filing with the SEC.
Investors in the current round of funding include: Khosla Ventures, Tobi L?tke (CEO, Shopify), Kaz Nejatian (CEO, Opendoor; former COO, Shopify), Zach Abrams (co-founder of Bridge, acquired by Stripe for $1.1 billion), Cosmin Nicolaescu (CEO, Accrual; former CTO, Brex), and Michael Tannenbaum (CEO, Figure; former COO, Brex).
About Synthetic
Synthetic is an autonomous accounting company that provides an AI agent to handle bookkeeping start to finish for startups and small businesses. It connects to a companys financial systems, performs accrual-basis bookkeeping, and then presents completed books so founders can focus on building their business instead of managing finances. Synthetic positions itself as not a tool you learn, not a person you hire, but a new kind of purpose-built AI that fully takes over the bookkeeping workflow rather than just assisting with it. By automating traditionally manual accounting tasks end-to-end, the company aims to completely replace the need for a traditional bookkeeper for early-stage and growing companies. Its market focus on startups and its emphasis on autonomy and minimal user effort differentiate Synthetic from generic accounting software and typical outsourced bookkeeping services.
