Western Midstream has announced the acquisition of Aris Water Solutions. According to the company announcement Western Midstream Partners, LP (WES) is a master limited partnership that develops, acquires, owns, and operates midstream assets. The company focuses on natural gas processing and transportation, as well as produced-water management, with operations across several states including Texas and New Mexico. Western Midstream is set to acquire Aris Water Solutions, a move that will significantly expand its footprint in the Delaware Basin, particularly in Lea and Eddy Counties, New Mexico. This acquisition aims to create a fully integrated produced-water value chain, offering services such as water gathering, disposal, recycling, and long-haul transport, positioning WES as a “one-stop shop” for customers and enhancing its ability to compete for new business development opportunities. The combined entity is expected to be a premier midstream water-solutions provider, capable of delivering a variety of water services and ensuring critical flow assurance for natural gas and crude oil production activities.
