Kenco Group to spend $2,500,000.00 to occupy 8,210 square feet of space in Desoto Texas.

February 10, 2023 Craig Etkin

Desoto, Texas — According to state and local economic development sources Kenco Group plans to invest $2,500,000.00 to build out 8,210 square feet of new space in Desoto. The company plans to occupy the new space at 2100 Jo Drive Suite A in Desoto, on or about June 1, 2023. According to the company website Kenco provides integrated logistics solutions that include distribution and fulfillment, comprehensive transportation management, material handling services, and information technology all engineered for Operational Excellence. Building lasting customer relationships for over 70 years, our focus is on common sense solutions that drive uncommon value. Our history began in 1950 with a single warehouse in Chattanooga, Tennessee with only two employees: Jim Kennedy, Jr. and Sam Smartt. Though the company’s history is full of constantly evolving innovations, our greatest early achievement was when Kencos co-founder, Jim Kennedy, Jr., drafted the industry’s first management fee contract warehousing agreement with DuPont in 1969. Even more impressive is the fact that DuPont remains a customer of Kenco to this day. Since that first contract in 1969, Kenco has grown into a fully integrated logistics provider managing 116 distribution facilities comprising 40 million square feet of space. Kenco currently serves over 350 clients with varying logistics needs across a wide range of industries.
