Indianapolis, Indiana — According to state and local development sources, Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum plans to build out 71,122 square feet of new space in Indianapolis. The company plans to occupy the new space at 1111 Polco St in Indianapolis, on or about October 1, 2027. According to the company website, The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum, uniquely situated inside the historic 2.5-mile IMS oval, is home to one of the worlds premier motorsports and automobile collections, with interpretive emphasis on the Indianapolis 500 and its role as an American icon of sporting tradition and innovation. The IMS Museum is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and relies on the support of visitors, members, donors and corporate partners, who make possible its exhibits, educational programming, preservation and auto restoration initiatives.
