Texas City, Texas — According to state and local economic development sources Gulf Coast Ammonia/Agrifos Partners LLC plans to invest $600,000,000.00 to build new space in Texas City. The company is creating 40 new jobs, and plans to occupy the new space in Texas City, on or about February 1, 2023. According to the company website Agrifos is a group of privately owned fertilizer development companies. The owners of the Agrifos group have been involved in numerous transactions in the fertilizer sector and have owned and operated several fertilizer assets over the past decades. The Agrifos group is also active in agricultural projects in North and West Africa.
