Global Laser Enrichment plans new construction project in Paducah, Kentucky
Paducah, Kentucky — According to state and local development sources, Global Laser Enrichment plans to invest $1.76 Billion to build out new space in Paducah. The company is creating 240 new jobs at this facility. The company plans to occupy the new space in Paducah, on or about January 1, 2028. According to the company website GLE was formed in 2007 to develop US laser uranium enrichment capability, with over $400 million invested in GLEs commercialization program to date. Since its inception, GLE has worked closely with Silex Systems of Australia, the inventor of the laser enrichment process, to advance the SILEX laser enrichment technology towards commercial launch for uranium enrichment.
