GC AI Raises $60 Million Series B to Give Every Company a Legal Advantage

November 21, 2025 Craig Etkin

In-house legal AI platform reaches 1000 customers, 70 NPS, 1.75M prompts, and goes from $1-10M revenue in <1 year

SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–GC AI, the AI platform for in-house legal teams, today announced it has raised $60 million in Series B funding led by Scale Venture Partners and Northzone, with participation from Sound Ventures, Aglaé Ventures, SilverCircle Partners, News Corp, The Council, and strategic investors including Guillermo Rauch, CEO of Vercel. The round values the company at $555 million and brings total funding to $73 million.

“In-house teams deserve technology built for their unique reality,” said Cecilia Ziniti, Co-founder and CEO of GC AI.Share

More than 1000 companies now use GC AI to move faster and work smarter across their legal teams, including News Corp, Nextdoor, Skims, Liquid Death, Vercel, TIME Inc., and Zscaler. The platform delivers instant expertise for everything in-house legal touches: contracts, policies, compliance, regulatory, and employment law.

“In-house teams deserve technology built for their unique reality,” said Cecilia Ziniti, Co-founder and CEO of GC AI. “As an in-house lawyer at Amazon and Replit, I saw AI’s potential in helping legal teams become real business drivers. That’s why we built something lawyers actually use and trust, and our 70 NPS proves that.”

The in-house counsel population, made up of lawyers that companies employ, is growing at more than double the rate of lawyers working in law firms and government roles.* And yet, every legal AI company focuses on law firms. GC AI takes a different tack by bringing AI to where the legal needs arise – to general counsels and their teams at companies. The company was built by a former general counsel, and has exploded in popularity to more than 1000 companies. Users love that GC AI is:

  • Built for in-house lawyers. GC AI was founded by an ex-Replit team – three-time General Counsel and 15+ year lawyer Cecilia Ziniti and AI engineer and CTO Bardia Pourvakil to solve the specific challenges faced by corporate legal teams. The platform covers the full spectrum of work including commercial, employment, product, privacy, and corporate governance. It integrates seamlessly into how companies communicate, collaborate, and make decisions.
  • In-House Legal Agents, where the company needs them. GC AI delivers instant time-to-value, combining the leading, accurate AI chat, with commercial contract agents that can redline directly in Microsoft Word, and custom negotiation playbooks so legal teams can review, summarize, and advise faster with greater context.
  • Easy Adoption and Change Management. More than 5,000 legal professionals have taken GC AI’s courses on legal AI prompting and applying AI in real legal work. These programs are becoming the standard curriculum for the next generation of in-house leaders, and drive adoption and advocacy and unparalleled engagement.

GC AI has grown from $1 million to over $10 million ARR in under a year, averaging 23% month-over-month growth in 2025. Most customers log in daily, and report cutting outside counsel spend, reducing turnaround times, and moving their business faster. Across customers, GC AI has saved an estimated 600,000 hours of legal work. Sales teams close deals faster. Products launch on schedule. Legal becomes a strategic partner to the business, not a bottleneck.

“GC AI is proving to be a valuable addition to our legal operations,” said Robert Schlossman, Chief Legal Officer at Zscaler. “As a cybersecurity company, our customers rely on us to protect their digital transformation, and we need to move quickly while maintaining the highest standards. GC AI is enabling our legal team to be more efficient, reduce our reliance on outside counsel, and deliver better legal outcomes for Zscaler’s rapidly scaling business.”

“Sometimes the name tells the story. GC AI is one of those cases,” said Rory O’Driscoll, Partner at Scale Venture Partners. “Their AI-enabled product is designed specifically for the needs of in-house legal teams, which are very different from the needs of an attorney at a large AmLaw firm. Since announcing the product 18 months ago, GC AI has experienced massive growth, acquiring over 1000 customers.”

The Series B funding will accelerate product development, expand enterprise capabilities, and deepen the company’s investment in integrations, agents, and even deeper accuracy for high precision document work. GC AI will focus on building the most trusted, intelligent legal AI action layer for in-house legal teams worldwide.

Flex has closed a $60 million Series B equity round led by Portage, bringing total equity raised to $105 million. In the last year, the company has quadrupled revenue and tripled its payments volume to $3 billion as it scales its all-in-one business and personal finance platform for high-net-worth middle-market business owners. Running a profitable middle-market business has become one of the most complex financial jobs in America, with owners often juggling more than ten disconnected systems to manage their money. Flex was created to give these high net worth owners a single place to run both their business and personal finances. This latest $60 Million equity round, followed by its $200 Million debt and $25 Million equity raise announced earlier this year, builds on a period of rapid hypergrowth. In just 12 months, Flex has grown revenue fourfold and increased annualized total payments volume from $1 billion to $3 billion across a suite of products, positioning Flex as one of the fastest-growing fintech companies at scale with best-in-class capital efficiency.

Flex is building the category-defining company solving this gap for high net worth business owners with a five-pillar strategy built around private credit, a business finance stack, a personal finance stack, payment solutions, and an ERP built for middle market businesses. These customers now use an average of four or more Flex products. Flex’s Business Credit Card, which provides 60-day float on every transaction, has been a major driver of adoption, acting as the wedge into deeper financial operations. Once owners experience the benefits of the Flex Credit Card, they often go on to adopt Flex’s banking, payments, working capital, and expense management tools to replace fragmented legacy systems. This integrated model has allowed Flex to scale with high efficiency and has created a strong foundation for its expansion into personal finance.

Launched in 2023, Flex a Flexbase Technologies brand is the AI Native “Private Bank” for high net worth business owners in the middle market. Flex is building the category-defining company solving this gap for high net worth business owners with a five-pillar strategy built around private credit, a business finance stack, a personal finance stack, payment solutions, and an ERP built for middle market businesses. Across the United States, a new industrial age is taking shape. Trillions of dollars in infrastructure, from energy projects and advanced manufacturing to data centers and critical mineral facilities, must be built in the next decade. But large construction projects are slower and more expensive today than they were half a century ago. Unlimited Industries, a California-based company using AI to rethink how infrastructure gets built, has raised $12 million in seed funding to change that. The round was co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and CIV, with participation from leading industry investors. The capital will accelerate Unlimited’s expansion and further develop its proprietary AI platform – one designed to make large-scale engineering and construction faster, cheaper, and more ambitious.

Unlike traditional construction firms or standard software companies, Unlimited is an AI-native construction company that both designs and builds. Its proprietary platform can generate and evaluate hundreds of thousands of design configurations in parallel, automatically identifying optimal layouts for cost, safety, and performance before construction begins. By integrating AI-driven design with its own vertically integrated engineering and construction teams, Unlimited eliminates the costly handoffs and misaligned incentives that have defined the industry for decades.

In a statement Alex Modon, Co-Founder and CEO of Unlimited Industries said, “Advances in AI mean we can finally build the physical world the way we build software.” “The traditional construction model is slow, brittle, and fundamentally misaligned. Our approach replaces static design choices with a dynamic, data-driven process that learns from every project. The result is faster, cheaper, and more successful projects.”

Unlimited is an AI-native construction company headquartered in San Francisco. Today, the company designs and builds across energy infrastructure, data centers, critical minerals, and advanced manufacturing, helping developers build with greater speed, ambition, and efficiency. Their mission is to build a future of radical physical abundance by automating construction end-to-end. The company was founded in 2025 by serial founders Alex Modon, Jordan Stern, and Tara Viswanathan.
