The company plans to occupy the new space at 1333 N. Stemmons Fwy. #105 in Dallas, on or about July 1, 2027. The team was founded in 1980 by Dallas businessman Donald Carter. The Mavericks won their first NBA Championship in 2011. The franchise is most notable for the Dirk Nowitzki era, which included the team’s only NBA championship in 2011 after defeating the Miami Heat.
