New Boston, Texas — According to state and local development sources, COIM USA plans to invest $50 Million to expand in New Boston. The company plans to occupy the new space at TexAmericas Center in New Boston, on or about March 1, 2027. The two founders first major visionary idea was to focus on what was then a gap in the Italian chemical industry to produce methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (KETANOX), a product in very short supply in Italy. Buzzellas technical competencies and Zocchis management skills quickly led to early success enabling them to found COIM in October 1962 with the introduction of a production site in Offanengo, Italy near Milan.
