Yemassee, South Carolina — According to state and local economic development sources Builders FirstSource plans to invest $16,000,000.00 to build out new space in Yemassee. The company plans to occupy the new space in Yemassee, on or about October 1, 2022. According to the company website Publicly traded on the NYSE, Builders FirstSource is the nations premier supplier of building materials and services for professional home builders and remodelers. Formed from the merger with BMC Stock Holdings, Inc., in January 2021, the combined company is a powerhouse in the building products, prefabricated components, and value-added services to customers both large and small.
