Kellyton, Alabama — According to state and local economic development sources Alabama Graphite Products plans to invest $80,000,000.00 to build out new space in Kellyton. The company plans to occupy the new space in Kellyton, on or about October 1, 2022. According to the company website Alabama Graphite Products, llc, a subsidiary of Westwater Resources, is developing sustainable high-purity U.S. domestic graphite making the electrification of our transportation and renewable energy power systems more efficient and accessible to people all over the world. Alabama Graphite Products, LLC, a subsidiary of Westwater Resources is focused on developing an advanced battery graphite business in the state of Alabama. As society grows more dependent on energy sources more sensitive to our environment, minerals such as graphite play important roles in our energy future. Our experienced staff and extensive technical expertise set us apart from our peers and provide a strong platform for energy minerals exploration and development. Our pilot project has already produced more than 13 metric tonnes of our product and wd we have numerous samples being analyzed by potential customers. We are in the process of completing our definitive feasibility study and expect to begin construction of our Alabama processing facility by December 31,2021, for planned startup by end of 2022.
