Hopkinsville, Kentucky — According to state and local development sources, Toyota Boshoku America plans to invest $225,000,000.00 to build out 365,400 square feet of new space in Hopkinsville. The company plans to occupy the new space in Hopkinsville, on or about August 1, 2024. According to the company website Toyota Boshoku is one of the worlds premium automotive interior systems suppliers and filter manufacturers. With global headquarters in Kariya City, Japan, Toyota Boshoku started in 1918 as the original Toyota Group Company creating fabrics on the first automatic weaving loom. Today, Toyota Boshoku develops and produces interior, exterior, textile, filtration, and powertrain components including seats, door trims, bumpers and headliners in facilities located in the Americas, Asia & Oceania, Europe & Africa, China, and Japan.
