TISC Raised US$2.1 Million in Pre-seed Funding Led by OVO Fund and n49p, with Participation from Panache Ventures

SAN FRANCISCO & TORONTO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Intelligent Search Company (TISC) today announced its emergence from stealth with a mission to give decision-makers and AI agents – in industries such as sports, emergency response, and defence – split-second “human-like intuition” in the moments that matter. Built to rapidly surface the right context out of fragmented, fast-changing data in high-stakes situations, TISC brings precision to decision-making, helping teams replace guesswork and static playbooks using real-time, evidence-backed insights.

The Intelligence Search Company (TISC) is on a mission to give decision-makers and AI agents – in industries such as sports, emergency response, and defence – split-second “human-like intuition” in the moments that matter.Share

TISC’s technology is especially relevant today as AI agents increasingly rely on standard search bars across apps and websites to find context for answers and decisions. Unlike these AI agents that run multiple variations of a query, slowing results and preventing its use in situations where every second counts, TISC’s technology pinpoints the appropriate context in real time across myriad data sources to deliver the needed insights instantaneously.

Building Momentum with Real-World Validation and Investor Confidence
Since the company was founded in May 2024 by Arpan Bhattacharya, CEO and Mahbod (Moe) Sabbaghi, COO, TISC has built its core technology, hired a founding machine learning researcher, and begun working with early partners in sports. The company’s technology has already been used with the national basketball team of an island nation in the Caribbean, has powered several NCAA Division 1 games, and a deployment is underway with the Women’s Premier Basketball Association (WPBA). In January 2025, TISC closed US$2.1 million in pre-seed funding, co-led by OVO Fund and n49p with participation from Panache Ventures, to accelerate the hiring of top machine learning talent, expand early pilots, and build relationships in target markets.

“TISC exists because the most important, time-constrained decisions that impact human lives are still being made on hunches or rigid playbooks even though the data to guide those calls already exists,” says Bhattacharya. “In real time, our technology finds the right needles in every kind of data haystack and puts them in front of people or makes them accessible to AI agents using our API. Think of it as AI with intuition. It understands intent, predicts deception, and prescribes counter moves, from play calling in sports to military command and control.”

TISC Redefining Intelligent Search by Merging Reasoning and Retrieval to Create AI that Predicts
Unlike traditional AI systems that bolt a search engine onto a large language model like a Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT), TISC trains a transformer model to directly learn what to remember and when to retrieve it over fast-changing live data streams or feeds. As these world models understand context and the relationships of data inputs, they are able to predict expected outcomes. By synthesizing insights across multiple modalities (i.e., text, video, sensor feeds, etc.) and removing the separation between retrieval and reasoning, TISC reduces the number of “blind” follow-up queries and shortens the path to a confident decision.

Use cases include:

  • Sports: Rapidly synthesize film, scouting reports, and live insights to call plays and in-game adjustments.
  • Emergency response: Correlate emergency calls, locations, and registries to route responders even faster.
  • Defence: Separate signal from noise across aircraft telemetry, radar tracks, satellite updates, and comms to support command decisions.

“Coaches, medics, and commanders are swimming in data while the clock is running,” says Sabbaghi. “Software should feel fast and fluent in the domain, not like a slow, generic tool that forces people to think in keywords. We are building the retrieval layer that lets humans and AI act with speed and confidence.”

Early Investors See Strong Market Potential
“While I had felt that search was a solved problem, the team at TISC convinced me otherwise,” says Gianfranco Filice, Partner at OVO Fund. “From TISC’s perspective, search today forces users to adapt their language and mental models to the designer of the system, leaving the long tail of “intent” unexplored and underutilized. This is a critical market inefficiency that TISC is addressing to bring the rest of the world closer to the products, experiences, and outcomes they are looking for.”

“Arpan and Moe are executing on a compelling vision that bridges cutting-edge research with practical deployment,” says Alex Norman, Managing Partner at n49p. “The team has category-defining ambition, and technology that will enable any human or AI to find exactly what it’s looking for from any source or data stream, no matter how fragmented or complex that data is or how abstract the search query is.”

Women’s Premier Basketball Association puts TISC to the Test
“The future of sports lies at the intersection of athletic performance and technology. What TISC is building directly supports that vision, helping us elevate the WPBA ecosystem and empower our athletes with the tools, data, and development resources to reach elite levels of performance, whether in the WNBA or on international stages,” says Faatimah A., CEO and founder of Women’s Premier Basketball Association (WPBA).

WPBA is the premier developmental league for women’s basketball, preparing players to excel, showcasing elite performance, and creating a pathway to lasting success on and off the court. As a tech-forward league, WPBA plans to empower its coaches to make real-time, data-backed decisions:

  • WPBA staff will provide clear evidence on player growth areas and coach ready practice cutups to share with athletes.
  • In 2026, WPBA will introduce an AI assistant coach powered by TISC that answers plain English questions, before a game and inside timeouts, with the right clips and stats in seconds.
  • WPBA plans to centralize film, scouting notes, and live trends into one search so WNBA scouts can quickly find and evaluate its roster; this will replace manual tagging, filter hunts, and spreadsheets.

“We aim to be a premier developmental league for top female athletes and believe the future of women’s sports is AI-powered,” says Faatimah. “TISC points to where the game is headed and how coaches and leagues will compete.”

Pilot Expansion
With the infrastructure in place to onboard partners, TISC is expanding its pilots with professional and collegiate sports teams and building relationships in adjacent markets. Organizations interested in evaluating TISC can request a private demo by emailing arpan@tisc.dev.

Across the United States, a new industrial age is taking shape. Trillions of dollars in infrastructure, from energy projects and advanced manufacturing to data centers and critical mineral facilities, must be built in the next decade. But large construction projects are slower and more expensive today than they were half a century ago. Unlimited Industries, a California-based company using AI to rethink how infrastructure gets built, has raised $12 million in seed funding to change that. The round was co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and CIV, with participation from leading industry investors. The capital will accelerate Unlimited’s expansion and further develop its proprietary AI platform – one designed to make large-scale engineering and construction faster, cheaper, and more ambitious.

Unlike traditional construction firms or standard software companies, Unlimited is an AI-native construction company that both designs and builds. Its proprietary platform can generate and evaluate hundreds of thousands of design configurations in parallel, automatically identifying optimal layouts for cost, safety, and performance before construction begins. By integrating AI-driven design with its own vertically integrated engineering and construction teams, Unlimited eliminates the costly handoffs and misaligned incentives that have defined the industry for decades.

In a statement Alex Modon, Co-Founder and CEO of Unlimited Industries said, “Advances in AI mean we can finally build the physical world the way we build software.” “The traditional construction model is slow, brittle, and fundamentally misaligned. Our approach replaces static design choices with a dynamic, data-driven process that learns from every project. The result is faster, cheaper, and more successful projects.”

Unlimited is an AI-native construction company headquartered in San Francisco. Today, the company designs and builds across energy infrastructure, data centers, critical minerals, and advanced manufacturing, helping developers build with greater speed, ambition, and efficiency. Their mission is to build a future of radical physical abundance by automating construction end-to-end. The company was founded in 2025 by serial founders Alex Modon, Jordan Stern, and Tara Viswanathan.
