Cedar Park, Texas — According to state and local economic development sources Applied Rigaku Technologies, Inc. plans to invest $1,013,000.00 to build out 20,260 square feet of new space in Cedar Park. The company plans to occupy the new space at 1405 Arrow Point Dr., #1301 in Cedar Park, on or about June 1, 2023. According to the company website Applied Rigaku Technologies, Inc., a division of Rigaku Corporation, engineers, manufactures and distributes Rigaku EDXRF products worldwide. Located in Austin, Texas, USA, our company specializes in benchtop and on-line EDXRF spectrometers for the non-destructive elemental analysis of solids, liquids, powders, and coatings. Joby Aviation, a company developing electric air taxis for commercial passenger service, announced the successful closing of the first $250 million tranche of a previously announced strategic investment from Toyota Motor Corporation. The funding marks a significant milestone in strengthening the long-term collaboration between the two companies and supports their shared vision for the future of air mobility. The investment is aimed at supporting certification and commercial production of Joby’s electric air taxi. This underscores the mutual commitment to deepening integration and delivering next generation travel to global markets. Powered by six electric motors, their aircraft takes off and lands vertically, giving it the flexibility to serve almost any community.
