Little Sesame Closes $8.5M Series A Funding to Fuel Rapid Growth

Little Sesame Closes $8.5M Series A Funding to Fuel Rapid Growth

July 31, 2025 Craig Etkin

Investment round will help the chef-driven hummus brand scale production, expand product offerings and build a new state-of-the-art facility

WASHINGTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Little Sesame, an industry leader in the hummus category, announced today the successful closing of its $8.5M Series A financing. The round was led by InvestEco Capital, known for backing mission-driven brands like Vital Farms and Lesser Evil, with participation from Watchfire Ventures, Santatera Capital, Beliade Consumer Partners, and other prominent individual investors in the CPG industry.

The funds will be used to significantly expand manufacturing capabilities, product development, and talent acquisition. Little Sesame plans to open a 23,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility by the end of 2025, complete with a test kitchen for product innovation and in-house High-Pressure Processing (HPP) capabilities. This new facility will increase production capabilities by 400%, to produce up to 400,000 pounds of hummus per week. The added capacity will also help scale partnerships with regenerative chickpea farmers, supporting Little Sesame’s goal of transitioning 10,000 acres to regenerative management by 2027. In addition to scaling production, Little Sesame is investing in product innovation, with plans to expand its Hummus for Kids line and offer other healthy snack options.

“This Series A funding marks a pivotal moment in our journey,” said Nick Wiseman, CEO and Co-Founder of Little Sesame. “We’ve always believed in the power of hummus to connect people and bring joy to everyday eating. With this investment, we’ll be able to amplify that mission through expanded innovation, team growth, and a new world-class facility that brings our culinary vision to life at scale.”

The capital will fuel Little Sesame’s plans to scale its business, which has seen explosive growth since its launch in 2021. With year-over-year growth surpassing 100%, the brand has become a standout in the natural food channel, contributing 46% of category growth at Whole Foods Market (L52W 6.8.25). Little Sesame’s growth trajectory is further underscored by its expansion into over 1,000 new retail doors in 2024 alone, including partnerships with Whole Foods Market, Sprouts, Wegmans, Giant Food, Misfits Market and Imperfect Foods.

“Little Sesame continues to exceed expectations with impressive growth, a rapidly expanding retail footprint, and a deeply loyal customer base. With 1,000 new doors added in 2024 and recognition as the fastest-growing brand in the natural channel, the company is clearly gaining momentum,” said Alejandro Gonzalez, Managing Partner at Santatera Capital. “We’re proud to reinforce our commitment through this second investment, supporting Nick and Ronen’s vision to build a category-defining brand rooted in real, flavorful food that’s better for people and the planet.”

This funding round closes as Little Sesame continues its Summer of Hummus tour—a coast-to-coast campaign designed to spark joy, build community, and live the brand’s mission of spreading smooth hummus and sunny vibes. Learn more at www.eatlittlesesame.com and follow along @eatlittlesesame.

Flex has closed a $60 million Series B equity round led by Portage, bringing total equity raised to $105 million. In the last year, the company has quadrupled revenue and tripled its payments volume to $3 billion as it scales its all-in-one business and personal finance platform for high-net-worth middle-market business owners. Running a profitable middle-market business has become one of the most complex financial jobs in America, with owners often juggling more than ten disconnected systems to manage their money. Flex was created to give these high net worth owners a single place to run both their business and personal finances. This latest $60 Million equity round, followed by its $200 Million debt and $25 Million equity raise announced earlier this year, builds on a period of rapid hypergrowth. In just 12 months, Flex has grown revenue fourfold and increased annualized total payments volume from $1 billion to $3 billion across a suite of products, positioning Flex as one of the fastest-growing fintech companies at scale with best-in-class capital efficiency.

Across the United States, a new industrial age is taking shape. Trillions of dollars in infrastructure, from energy projects and advanced manufacturing to data centers and critical mineral facilities, must be built in the next decade. But large construction projects are slower and more expensive today than they were half a century ago. Unlimited Industries, a California-based company using AI to rethink how infrastructure gets built, has raised $12 million in seed funding to change that. The round was co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and CIV, with participation from leading industry investors. The capital will accelerate Unlimited’s expansion and further develop its proprietary AI platform – one designed to make large-scale engineering and construction faster, cheaper, and more ambitious.

Unlike traditional construction firms or standard software companies, Unlimited is an AI-native construction company that both designs and builds. Its proprietary platform can generate and evaluate hundreds of thousands of design configurations in parallel, automatically identifying optimal layouts for cost, safety, and performance before construction begins. By integrating AI-driven design with its own vertically integrated engineering and construction teams, Unlimited eliminates the costly handoffs and misaligned incentives that have defined the industry for decades.

In a statement Alex Modon, Co-Founder and CEO of Unlimited Industries said, “Advances in AI mean we can finally build the physical world the way we build software.” “The traditional construction model is slow, brittle, and fundamentally misaligned. Our approach replaces static design choices with a dynamic, data-driven process that learns from every project. The result is faster, cheaper, and more successful projects.”

Unlimited is an AI-native construction company headquartered in San Francisco. Today, the company designs and builds across energy infrastructure, data centers, critical minerals, and advanced manufacturing, helping developers build with greater speed, ambition, and efficiency. Their mission is to build a future of radical physical abundance by automating construction end-to-end. The company was founded in 2025 by serial founders Alex Modon, Jordan Stern, and Tara Viswanathan.
