Laurinburg, North Carolina — According to state and local development sources, Bailey Manufacturing Company plans to invest $4,300,000.00 to build out 50,000 square feet of new space in Laurinburg. The company is creating 35 new jobs at this facility. The company plans to occupy the new space in Laurinburg, on or about October 1, 2025. According to the company website Bailey Manufacturing was founded by Mr. E.L. Bailey in 1948 and operated under his direction until his death in 1979. The business and its assets were then purchased by the Megatech Corporation. Since 1995, Bailey Manufacturing Company has been under the management of Mr. John Hines, showing a growth in sales each year. In 2002, Mr. Hines purchased the majority of Bailey Manufacturing Company from the Megatech Corporation. This acquisition changed the company name to Bailey Manufacturing Company, LLC. and consequently enabled the company to become a New York State Certified Minority Business. In 2017, Mr. Hines acquired 100% of business ownership. Bailey Manufacturing Company has been supplying product to the automotive industry for over 75 years and has established itself as a competitive, reliable, and quality-conscious organization.
