Stanton, Texas — According to state and local development sources, Martin County Hospital District plans to invest $34,065,000.00 to build out 90,400 square feet of new space in Stanton. The company plans to occupy the new space at 600 I-20 E in Stanton, on or about August 1, 2025. According to the company website The hospital provides a 24/7 Emergency Department made up of our fully equipped emergency room (ER) and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) teams that work alongside each other all day, every day, to provide urgent medical assistance to the entire 914 square miles of Martin County. The Hospital District also operates the Martin County Family Clinic with six family practice providers and other specialty services. Martin County EMS provides 911 ambulance service, and TruLite Homecare is here to serve you in the comfort of your home. Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) was organized in 1967 and has boundaries coterminous with Martin County, Texas. Now located in the heart of West Texas, MCHD was initially opened in 1949 near downtown Stanton. While the initial facility served the community well for many years, the time for change came in May 2012 when a new state-of-the-art, 18-bed facility was opened on the I20. The new facility was designed as a Critical Access Hospital to bring healthcare to the community members who really need it.
