Columbus, Mississippi — According to state and local economic development sources Altex Tube plans to invest $110,000,000.00 to build out new space in Columbus. The company plans to occupy the new space in Columbus, on or about June 1, 2023. According to the company website Altex Tube will manufacture black and pre-galvanized steel tubing ranging in size from 1 inch to 6 inches square and 1.25 inches to 7.625 inches round, up to 48 feet in length and thicknesses ranging from .060 inches to .375 inches. Altex Tube will be developed in two phases, with Phase 1 scheduled to be operating by mid-2023.
