Bluefield, West Virginia — According to state and local economic development sources Omnis Building Technologies plans to invest $40,000,000.00 to build out 150,000 square feet of new space in Bluefield. The company plans to occupy the new space in Bluefield, on or about December 1, 2022. According to the company website The Omnis group companies specialize in developing, licensing, and commercializing innovative technologies to aid in the areas of clean and sustainable energy, affordable housing, organic farming, and biodegradable plastics. The technologies deployed by Omnis and its affiliates have been used in the construction of One World Trade Center (the Freedom Tower), to further the clean coal initiative at CONSOL Energy (an energy leader in North America), and to revitalize farmland in the United States and China. They have also been used to develop biodegradable containers, leading to major contracts with McDonalds and Walmart. Omnis Global Technologies is an executive office for affiliates and subsidiaries, including: Fenix Technologies (China), Omnis Energy, Omnis Mineral Technologies, Omnis Building, Lapol, and Ceresoil.
