Austin, Texas — According to state and local economic development sources Blanton Museum of Art plans to invest $17,000,000.00 to build out 12,000 square feet of new space in Austin. The company plans to occupy the new space at 200 E Martin Luther King Jr Blvd in Austin, on or about February 1, 2022. According to the company website Located on the campus of the University of Texas in Austin, the Blanton Museum of Art is the primary art collection for the city of Austin. With over 19,000 works in the collection, the Blanton showcases art from across the ages, from ancient Greek pottery to abstract expressionism. With a year-round schedule of temporary exhibitions, art lovers are sure to discover new and old favorites at the Blanton.
