Charlotte, North Carolina — According to state and local economic development sources Electric Power Research Institute plans to invest $650,500.00 to build out new space in Charlotte. The company plans to occupy the new space at 1300 W W T Harris Blvd in Charlotte, on or about March 1, 2021. According to the company website EPRI provides thought leadership, industry expertise, and collaborative value to help the electricity sector identify issues, technology gaps, and broader needs that can be addressed through effective research and development programs for the benefit of society. The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) conducts research, development, and demonstration projects for the benefit of the public in the United States and internationally. As an independent, nonprofit organization for public interest energy and environmental research, we focus on electricity generation, delivery, and use in collaboration with the electricity sector, its stakeholders and others to enhance the quality of life by making electric power safe, reliable, affordable, and environmentally responsible.
