Funding University has filed a notice of an exempt offering of securities to raise $6,023,772.00 in New Funding.

August 26, 2026 Craig Etkin

According to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Funding University is raising up to $6,023,772.00 in new funding. The federal securities law requires the notice to be filed by companies that have sold securities without registration under the Securities Act of 1933 in an offering made under Rule 504 or 506 of Regulation D or Section 4(a)(5) of the Securities Act. A company must file this notice within 15 days after the first sale of securities in the offering. For this purpose, the date of first sale is the date on which the first investor is irrevocably contractually committed to invest. Each issuer of securities that sells its securities in reliance on an exemption provided in Regulation D or Section 4(a)(5) of the Securities Act of 1933 must file this notice containing the information requested with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and with the state(s) requiring it. If more than one issuer has sold its securities in the same transaction, all issuers should be identified in this filing with the SEC.

About Funding University
Funding University, presented on funding-u.com as Funding U, is a mission-driven, merit-based student lender focused on providing no-cosigner private student loans to undergraduate college students who are academically driven and often left behind by traditional lenders. The company offers student loans that are approved based on academic performance and progress rather than traditional credit scores or access to creditworthy cosigners, positioning itself as a responsible gap funding option for students needing additional support to stay enrolled in school. Its primary business activity is offering fixed-rate, merit-based student loans without a cosigner requirement, with a strong emphasis on helping students persist to graduation; the site highlights a completion focus and notes that its borrowers graduate at rates above 90%. Funding U partners directly with colleges and universities, marketing itself to schools as a way to expand access for their students by providing an alternative underwriting approach tailored to high-achieving, career-focused undergraduates. Overall, the company positions itself as a specialized player in the private student loan market, aiming to increase equity in education by serving students who are serious about academics and post-graduation careers but may not fit traditional credit-based lending models.
