The company plans to occupy the new space at 1610 S Malcolm X Blvd in Dallas, on or about January 1, 2027. Founded 50 years ago as a mission of First Presbyterian Church of Dallas to feed people on the streets downtown, it has grown from a simple meal ministry into a multifaceted social service hub. Today, The Stewpot offers assistance with essential needs such as obtaining legal identification, accessing hot meals, securing housing, receiving mail, getting groceries, enrolling children in educational programs, and exploring artistic and enrichment opportunities. Its programs focus on housing, stabilization, education, nutrition, and enrichment, serving Dallas neighbors who face economic, housing, and food insecurity and helping them move toward long-term stability.
