Contraline has raised $92,500,000.00 in new Series B funding

June 17, 2026 Craig Etkin

According to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Contraline has raised $92,500,000.00 in new Series B funding. The federal securities law requires the notice to be filed by companies that have sold securities without registration under the Securities Act of 1933 in an offering made under Rule 504 or 506 of Regulation D or Section 4(a)(5) of the Securities Act. A company must file this notice within 15 days after the first sale of securities in the offering. For this purpose, the date of first sale is the date on which the first investor is irrevocably contractually committed to invest. Each issuer of securities that sells its securities in reliance on an exemption provided in Regulation D or Section 4(a)(5) of the Securities Act of 1933 must file this notice containing the information requested with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and with the state(s) requiring it. If more than one issuer has sold its securities in the same transaction, all issuers should be identified in this filing with the SEC.

Investors in the company’s current round of funding include: Forbion, Venrock Healthcare Capital Partners, RA Capital Management, Milky Way Investments, Adage Capital, MVM Partners, Xuanzhu Biopharmaceutical, ShangBay Capital, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

About Contraline
Contraline is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing the future of male contraception through innovative, safe, effective, and reversible contraceptive options for men. Based in Charlottesville, Virginia, the companys mission is to provide men and couples with contraception that supports personal freedom while contributing to global impact in reproductive health. Contraline is advancing a pipeline of investigational products, including ADAM, a non-hormonal, long-lasting male contraceptive hydrogel designed to block sperm in the vas deferens without affecting sensation or ejaculation, and NES/T Gel, a reversible daily topical hormonal contraceptive intended to temporarily pause sperm production while maintaining normal testosterone levels. As a pioneer in this space, Contraline highlights that its products are investigational and have not yet been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or any other regulatory authority, underscoring its current focus on clinical development and trials rather than commercial sales. Through its research, clinical programs, and participant-focused studies, the company positions itself at the forefront of innovation in male reproductive health and aims to help pave the way toward greater reproductive equality by expanding contraceptive choices for men worldwide.
