Grapevine, Texas — According to state and local development sources, McMillan James Equipment Company plans to invest $3,300,000.00 to build out 17,342 square feet of new space in Grapevine. The company plans to occupy the new space at 1044 Texan Trail in Grapevine, on or about October 1, 2026. According to the company website, McMillan James Equipment Company (MJEC) was founded in 1987 by its CEO, Mark McMillan. The companys roots date back to the mid 1950s when McMillan Equipment Company (MECO), a Houston based manufacturers rep firm, was first established by Hugh D. McMillan Jr. Mark McMillan branched out on his own in 1987 when he took over the Dallas -Fort Worth operations of MECO and founded the current company. In 2007 the name was changed to McMillan James Equipment Company when Mark James and Robert McMillan were made partners.
